Tristen is excited to kick off 2011 with upcoming tour dates in support of her new album Charlatans At The Garden Gate, out today, February 1st, via American Myth Recordings. The run begins with a hometown Album Release Show in Nashville on the 21st of January and sends Tristen and band out to the west coast in February.
The release of Charlatans At The Garden Gate is the latest step in a long journey that began when Tristen left her native Chicago for Nashville to further pursue her passion for songwriting. She soon became part of Nashville’s emerging community of young artists, a loose collective of musicians and writers deeply connected yet simultaneously unbound from the city’s country heritage.
Finally poised for a full-length release, the songs found on the album, and the accompanying prowess of the live band’s three part harmonies, have been winning over new listeners with ease. Through relentless touring in 2011 Tristen and company are eager to show the nation why her brand of “Neo Traditionalist Pop” has already won early notice from the likes of KCRW, Nylon, Paste, Nashville Scene, The Wall Street Journal, and USA Today’s Pop Candy, among many others.
