Brooklyn quintet XYLOS’s was recently named a “Band to Watch in 2011” by New York Post PopWrap Blog and has been receiving airplay on tastemaker stations KEXP, KCRW and MPR’s The Current, Xylos has been gathering fans and praise for their lush, 80s-inspired pop and singer/multi-instrumentalist Monika Heidemann’s intoxicating, otherworldly vocals. XYLOS write sophisticated-yet-playful songs, weaving together lush harmonies, electronic production, and soaring vocal melodies that draw on influences ranging from Kate Bush, ABBA and Steve Reich.
