Get Inspired: Jelly Bean Music Video

There is a new craze sweeping the art world: jelly bean paintings. Jelly bean paintings are exactly what they sound like - famous paintings that are remade entirely of jelly beans. Artists who have had the jelly bean treatment include Andy Warhol (Marilyn Monroe) and Johannes Vermeer (Girl with a Pearl Earring).

Greg Jardin, the director of Kina Grannis's music video "In Your Arms," heard about jelly bean art and decided to make her music video setting entirely out of jelly beans. The production of the video took over 2 years and more than 200,000 jelly beans.

"In Your Arms" was taped without using a green screen. Kina laid on a glass frame that covered the jelly bean background. Over a thousand different frames of jelly beans were made for the video.
