We interviewed nycpretty about her styling background, her best spring break spot and of course... her favorite AE Spring pieces!
What
are your fashion inspirations?
I am very a visual person and am inspired by sooo
many things on a daily basis...people on the street, movies, magazines,
billboards, thrift stores, you name it! Also, I LOVE to surf! The whole surf
culture/lifestyle has been a huge inspiration for me.
How
did you get your start as a fashion stylist?
Sesame Street!! They actually
used to publish a magazine called Sesame Street Parents Magazine and I was in
charge of styling and shopping for all the cute teens and tweens! It was a
blast!
What
are your favorite Spring items from AE?
The AE Dark Denim Shirt, the AE Plaid Camp Shirt, AE Floral Corset Dress, and the AE Tribal Flared Skirt.
What
is your favorite fit of AE jeans?
The AE Jegging! I'm OBSESSED!
They are super soft and stretchy and look great with almost
everything in my closet. I actually bought 3 pairs!
What can you never
leave the house without?
My lipgloss! I feel so
unglamorous without it! Right now I am loving Sonia Kashuk ultra shine sheerlip gloss. It's the perfect hint of pink!
What is your
casual party style?
I always love a fun party
dress, but if I want to be somewhat casual I'll pair it with cool
rocker boots and lots of studded jewels to funk-ify the look!
Where is your favorite Spring Break Destination?
It doesn't really matter where I go for
spring break. As long as I have my surfboard and fun waves, I 'm happy!
